Now Playing 3.95
Now Playing has now been out for over a year so I thought it'd be a good time to look at the stats and post an update. First i did some calculations based on the amount of hits the update file for NP gets and it works out that Now Playing has approximately 15,000 users! (Assuming each user has NP active for between 6 and 12 hours a day). So as a thanks to all you guys for using my gadget here's another update with some little tweaks.
Changes:
- When player is closed, clicking the gadget will open the player (YAY!)
- Track details for iTunes radio stations are now shown
- Options in the settings panel have been made more obvious
- Foobar install process improved
- New MediaMonkey icons
- MediaMonkey compatibility improved where exe name is mediam~2.exe
- ID3 Art reading for X64 disabled as it's not compatible

Great little gadget :)
Thanks for the update
I love this gadget, would love to see an update to include Ruckus Player as well =)
I have no requested features. Great job. You should add a paypal link to your site - I'd drop a few coins in the jar as thanks.
Thanks :) There's a "make a donation" link on the left of this page and one in the gadget too on the About tab. Zach, I can't see an APi for that player so not possible
Donation button: Doh! Saw it just after clicking publish. :(
Would it be possible to change a future version please so that iTunes doesn't keep re-opening when you try to close it, due to NP using the iTunes scripting interface? Other than this small issue, the gadget is wonderful! Thank you!
Top right of the gadget, theres a little close button. Use that instead of closing itunes directly.
Wow, cheers for such a quick response! Much obliged sir.
Awesome Gadget! I love it!!!!
Its the one i use the most!
My favourite VISTA gadget. Works like a dream. Thanks.
Very Cool gadget!!!!
Although, im kinda of having one issue with this gadget... I'm running Winamp 5.52, sometimes when a song is played this gadget displays a different coverart than the one winamp displays. I have ticked the disable folder.jpg and google album art on the settings tab... the gadget says it (Desperately) got the art from Amazon. but i know it's saved in the ID3tag..
any suggestions to why this is happening?
What OS are you using? Desperately means not only could it not find it on the system, it couldn't find the album on amazon so it just did a (depeserate last attempt) search for the artist on amazon.
i'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit...
I've personally saved most of the coverart on the ID3tag myself using Tag&Rename. I would say that about 90% of my files are in MP3 format with ID3v2 tags...
hummm... after double checking... seems that for some reason some coverarts are missing from the tags...
(now i'm wondering why this has happened... it was probably caused by a third party ipod plugin i'm using with winamp, it must have erased the tags last time i sync'd or something...)
that's probably why this is happening... :S
Oh well... i'll keep monitoring and if i have any other comments i'll post. Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the update... Great gadget! love it :)
