Works great for Windows Media Player!! But for MediaMonkey, it just displays the monkey head and "Notice: Click here to open MediaMonkey" Clicking does nothing, and even when I run MediaMonkey on it's own and play music, NowPlaying doesn't see it. Do I need a certain version of MM and does it need to be installed in a specific folder for NowPlaying to find it?
Thanks for a great Gadget!! It's forcing me to us WMP for now so I can enjoy it :)
I have the answer for any of you that it has stopped working for...
The plug-in update is fine..
All you have to do is restart the computer..I noticed this morning when I restarted that regedit.exe ran quickly and made a change to the registry...After which point, the nowplayin.gadget began to work..PERFECTLY..
I was the one who did the very first comment..LOL..So passing it on..
Would be helpful for some kind of info to restart for the change to take effect but it really is kind of impossible, at least for the manner in which I install the gadgets at this point..
gadget is great thanks :D just one thing, i use the iphone skin and theres no button for opening lyrics with that skin, wondering if that could be fixed? cos i love the lyrics feature v. handy thanks :)
Trying to change the zoom level on the Always Big Layout style, but both text boxes are disabled?
When it's docked with the 0.8 zoom level, while changing tracks the gadget briefly flashes white when it redraws itself which I find distracting. Doesnt happen when it's undocked at full zoom.
If you set it to 1.0 it disables the zoom stuff so it obviously won't flash. You'll have to wait to the next release if you want to try yourself though.
I recently installed G-Data Internet security 2009 and on ist first scan it quoted the two files of nowplaying.gadget as W32:trojan.gen - file plugins\NPID3.exe and file plugins\NPWMP.exe.
The 2008 version of G-Data never gave alarm about those files. What happend. Better investigation tools on 2009 version, or does my nowplaying.gadget has a trojan spy? thanks for replying, joe

Slight problem...
Gadget has stopped working for me after the 3.5 update where it was working fine before...
Using Winamp, just gives me the 'Notice: Play a song in Winamp'
I have tried completely reloading the sidebar and restarting the media player...
hi, since i updte to 3.5 plugin doesn't work...Error, check plugin is enabled, or read me. thanks
Anon1: Nothing that relates to winamp has changed so try uninstalling the gadget or something.
Anon2: Come on, it says check the readme? Why do you need to ask, just check the readme!

Anyways...
Alright!! The lyrics feature works. Very handy. Thank you for fixing it.
Question, in which folder does the gadget save the album art it downloaded?

Oh my giddy aunt, this gadget has made the change to Vista worthwhile!
Before this I would spend hours trying to find album art - I could not believe my eyes when it appeared in seconds.
Any chance of a "Refresh Album Art" button to alter incorrect images?
Thank you.
Im using winamp and it says...
Notice:
Error loading Winamp plugin
Brilliant gadget, love it. Thanks.

Ah, they're not meant to be disabled, my mistake! With regards to the flashing, that's an issue with the sidebar not the gadget.
Ah, I wanted to try set it to 1.0 zoom while docked and check if it still flashed white.
Can I manually edit the settings? If so, where are they stored?
